The founder of Silverwell Research, Matthew Waterfield, has worked as an investigative genetic genealogist since 2021. He was one of the first investigative genetic genealogists in Europe and has worked on more than two dozen cases over the past four years. Recently, Matthew became one of the first people in the field to pass the IGG Accreditation Exam, meaning he is now an Accredited Investigative Genetic Genealogist (AIGG). He is a longtime volunteer with the DNA Doe Project, where he works pro bono to help solve cases across North America.

For agencies that wish to utilise investigative genetic genealogy to solve an unidentified human remains (UHR) or perpetrator case, Silverwell Research has the experience and expertise to assist you. Many agencies are still figuring out how best to employ this new tool, which is why we provide guidance and support to our agency partners while they become accustomed to it. Whether you’ve just heard about investigative genetic genealogy or you have a genetic data file ready to upload, law enforcement personnel are always welcome to contact us to find out how we can help you solve your cases. Further details regarding pricing, timings, workflows etc. can be provided upon request.
